Something for everyone
AIMS
The new scheme is aimed at all vaulters to develop they’re skills and performances, to learn new skills which they may not otherwise develop and ultimately make them better vaulters and achieve greater results.
BADGES
There are 3 different sets of badges one for compulsories, one for freestyle (finishing with an extra badge for the technical test) and one for horse care. The diamond award would be maintained in its current form. There will be eight levels to each set, providing tests for beginner’s right through to international vaulters, moving from walk through to canter.
ACHIEVEMENT
Each level will require the vaulter to successfully perform or carryout a number of moves or tasks out of a set list, for example to pass a vaulter must perform 8 out of 10 moves. The examiner will make the decision as to whether or not the move has been performed to a high enough standard in order to pass. This makes each badge examinable in a short time period, even at the end of a training session.
