Method
- Vaulter sits close to the
roller, legs long and wrapped around the horse. Toes pointed.
- Body should be
upright, back straight with shoulders back.
- Head should be looking forward with head raised
slightly.
- Shoulders, hips and feet should form a vertical line.

What to look for
- Legs should remain long and not rise up at the knee.
Toes must be pointed.
- Hips should be allowed to move with the horse to
allow the bottom to remain in contact with the horse at all times.
- The vaulter should not tip
forward at the hips.

Tips
If vaulter leans forward and is not sitting on their
bottom ask them to lean back slightly.
- If gripping with their knees ask them to relax their legs
and let them drop down.
- Flexibility through hips and box splits will help.
