More Fools with
Horses!
A
substantial sum of money of £1,883.00 was raised for Spinal Research and ILP. What an event! Organised
by the Scottish Equestrian Association and The Scottish Equestrian Vaulting at Ingliston House Stud,. a packed crowd with standing room only watched 7 fantastic
good sports from the 7 FEI Equestrian Disciplines put on fabulous performances
in Show Jumping, Driving, Dressage and Vaulting. What super stars they all are!
Tina
Von Gehlen, (Reining) how brave to jump for the first
time in public.
Evelyn Frame, (Endurance), who put her heart and soul into each
event and kept smiling.
Phillippa Gammell who was just fantastic and what
an advert for equestrianism for health fitness!
Ann
Stark, (Vaulting) who was determined to out do her fathering in-law Ian,
Ian
Stark (Eventing) who was determined to out do
everyone!
Joanna
Barry, (Dressage) whose dressage riding ability made the vaulting horse look like a Grand Prix Dressage horse.
Andrew
Hamilton, (Show Jumping) game for anything including the lycra!
The
Reining Display left us all amazed at the turns and the speed, particularly as
the rider was still in complete non dizzy, loose reined control!
The
vaulting displays by the Eccles family just stunned the crowds and Ross
Foreman’s “Full Monty on a horse and upside down had everyone spellbound!
With
all this hilarity plus the judging format that could give 12 and 13 out of 10
we had a recipe for unusual results. The
bottom line being Andrew Hamilton went of with the spoils and Ian Stark the
winner was left wondering what had happened! No sour grapes though Ian manfully
took the dubious result on the chin!
When
contacted the next day Andrew, who had enjoyed himself so much showing off his
leotard said no problem Ian can have the goodies but only in a rematch.
So
