Job specification for Technical Delegate

 

 

The Technical Delegate is an over-all supervisor on the day to assist the Organiser.  In our National competitions he is also a member of the Ground Jury. A solid knowledge of the Rule book is essential. The T.D. should be approved by the BEV Committee

 

The T.D.  should ensure the smooth running of the competition, iron out any problems and handle any cases of complaint. He should not have any other specific job.

 

Skills: Communication, organizational, knowledge of rule book

Equipment: BEV Rule book

 

  • Carry out risk assessment.
  • Approve competition arena.
  • Approve warm-up areas.
  • Ensure safe practice is carried out.
  • Ensure judges are in place for each class
  • Ensure each judge has a writer
  • Ensure scorers have private area.
  • Be watching the whole competition in case of complaint
  • Sanction any music  a competitor is unsure about.
  • Liaise with the Ground Jury if problems arise.
  • Has the power to replace any member of the Ground Jury should the occasion arise.
  • The Ground Jury consists of any of three of the following: the Judge, the Technical Delegate, Veterinarian and a member of the BEV Committee
