Job specification for Score collecting
steward
The score collecting steward is responsible for seeing the
scores are collected after each competitor has left the arena.
- Form
teams of runners. These may be 2
or 3 of vaulters from each group or brothers/sisters of vaulters who are
there to watch.
- Set
out timetable for runners
- Advise
runners that they must never enter the arena whilst a competitor is
still in the area.
- Advise
runners on how important each score sheet is.
- Advise
runners on how to approach the tables.
- Wait
until the writer gives them the score.
- Return
score immediately to the scorers.
- Ensure
that one team of runners does not do all the work all day.
